What is the best way market a Opt In page

    Hey everyone.
    I was just wondering if using SEO, would have the same effects on a opt in page?
    If not what would be the best way to market it?

    i would use ebay classified ads. its cheap and gets good traffic and now you can put in opt in pages in your ad

    Give away something, an ebook or a mini-course delivered by autoresponder.

    Then drive traffic to the sign up page using PPC and SEO.

    I optimize an opt in page the same as any other page. Title, Description, and keyword tags. Doesn't take but a few minutes so why not?

    The key to the opt in page is to make it perfectly clear what you want them to do. Many newbies throw up an opt in box from their autoresponder and expect people to know what the heck it is. Big mistake! If you want them to fill that form in, tell them to. And tell them to click that button to get their FREE whatever it is you are going to give them.:)

    Traffic to the page is the same as any other. Articles, PPC etc.

    Well...some will disagree with me, but I have found that the best converting opt in traffic is coming from niche forums. You just need to give away something...like a free report or a "14 day course" and than put something like "Click here to get ... ... ... free" in your signature. You can get much more traffic from social networks and classified sites, but only 1/10 will opt in. With forum traffic they convert like crazy - 1/2 or 1/3. But you can just split test and see what's the best for your niche and product.

    I agree with Alaric Noel. I use phptlist to capture the email which worked like crazy on my older sites. I used to capture 20 real emails a day. It was pretty decent so I am repeating with my new site. I just need to optimize the page,

    I'm using a Wordpress site. I'm using this plugin which makes opt ins really good & easy.
    "Optin Crusher". Just check in google.
    You can watch my site, urplacements.com. The opt in comes right @ the bottom of the page.
    Just watch it & you'll love the feature. And I'm sure, if you include that plugin, your visitors also will start opting in.
