What is the best way for directory submission?

Hello to all!

If reciprocal linking is bad and buying links are also bad how can my website be listed in any web directory since almost niether of them accepts links without link back to their site or paid listing option?

According to Google these days avoid directory submissions.

 

Being in directories won't hurt your rankings - but a listing in a low ranking, useless, unused, directory isn't going to help either. And there are lots of those types of directories out there.

 

Thank you very much for your answers but my question is how to get listed in these high quality, high PR directories without reciprocal or paid links if both are bad. If you dont pay, they will probably never add your listing.

 

my advice would be save up those money for 5 high QUALITY directories,
and before that try to get PR2~3 first before submitting to these quality directories,

my first option would be yahoo directories,
then continued by the rest top 10 directories,

 

Best way is to use a website that submits to all of them automatically it is fast and easy. if you spend a little cash its worth it

 

For that matter and you're serious on getting listed in high quality directories then you will really have to put some cash into it. I too would suggest yahoo directory for that matter. You shouldn't worry that much from them since it's a legit service.

 

Other than yahoo, any other paid that are worthwhile?

There are a lot of free web directory sites. However, it will take time before your site gets publish in a free online directory. I also advise that you do it manually. This will reward you in the long run.

 

Id say go with article submissions. Nothing like some good related meat on the page to go with your link. Regular directories really are just a ton of outbound links. With articles you tend to get your own page not shared with 500 other sites.

Already doing it! But I have another question? how long does it take - more or less- to see the effect of high PR articles submission sites. I do both article and directory submission manually and yet I have 3 articles approved with link back to my site and a couple of directories and nothing more. Will they help me in any way?

 

That's great to hear. I've also recently witnessed progress. I've been working on a site for a client for a couple of weeks and one of the keywords places the site on the front page and I haven't even begun backlinking yet.

 

Absolutely they will help you. Having articles on the internet are really useful for driving traffic to your website. They work in two ways - they drive traffic 1. from the article sites 2. from other websites that feature your article as some website owners are so desperate for content for their sites they could use your articles on their websites...
