Hi there, I was just wondering what was the best url shortner service that you use in order to get the most $$$ out of shortening links? I haven't come across any services that pay you to shorten URLs. Have you? If so, please post here!

    Regards,

probably linkbee.com but you must wait a long time until you get paid whereas linkbucks.com but earn half as much but get paid instantly within 3 seconds.

I think people are relying on these url shortening services too much. I can see it now - one day soon one of these big link shortening services will remove their service or go bust and thousands of people will be left with useless links plastered all over their sites, forums, etc.

Alternatively they may sell the service to another company who then decides to run ads at the top of every link you have created.

I would never use these links on any of the sites I own. It is giving away too much control to someone else. The amount of money you are going to earn by using them is not worth the risk.

Further to my last post, I do use link shortening on my facebook and twitter pages but only because they are not long-term links. These links are usually buried within hours after posting. I would only ever consider using them for similar purposes.

If you are still keen to use some type of link shortening, then set up your own one on your own domain. That way you will always have control over all the links you create.
