What is the best time of day to post on social media sites?

Hi,

I am doing social media work for a small business, and we were wondering if anyone has found any evidence that there is a best time of the day to post.

Has anyone figured this out, or does it really matter?

In early morning before people go to school , work etc. 07:00 - 09 :00
When people comes back from school or work. 16:00 - 19 :00
And when people goes for sleep : 22 : 00 - 00 : 00

I suggest you to see in what time are your fans online.

Go in page Insights then to Posts then you see When Your Fans Are Online.

There's a lot of theories regarding this topic. In my opinion, it depends on your target audience. Experiment with post times and check which times get the highest engagement rates. That's the best time for you then. Trial and error.

 

From our exerience, if your content is good enough, no matter what time you post it: it will be found and shared.

 

Google "when to post on social media infographic" and you will get a lot of results that will answer your question. Surprisingly, it's different depending on what source was used in the making of the infographic.
Another important question that people often forget to consider is "are all my fans/followers/readers from my timezone?"
Living in Korea and writing mostly for US followers it's very important for me to work by their time rather than mine if I want my posts to be noticed.

 

Forget all the rules. Follow the timezone of the targeted country and post according to that.

 

You can watch whem the biggest part of your audience is online, and yes I found this infographic interestingf and helpful too.

Depending on the niche and age target group.
If it's something for teens, school time.
ALOT of the students go through social media apps on breaks or even in lessons.
If not, night before they go to sleep.

 

I love that infographic. I agree with those times. Try to engage with people during the best down times....before work, lunch, and evening hours. When I look at myself during work, thats usually when I check my social media.
