What is the best software to create a links directory ? What do you recommend? What is the best free one and what is the best paid one? Or what is just the best? I just want to bulid a website where I have categories ( arts, Computers,Entertainment.. etc) and people to submit their website there and also to be able to pay for it through paypal.
That all depends on your own requirements, what do you wish to offer your submitters, what are the features you need available on your web directory? Set some standards and post it here and we'll try and point you into the right direction. - Meti

If you want a script with endless possibilities you may want to go with phpLD due to the large userbase and lots of themes and modifications available. There is both a free version and a paid version, phpLD can be found at www.phplinkdirectory.com. Regards, Meti
phpLD powers some of the well-known web directories out there, there's many compeititive scripts available today, I use IndexU on my web directory, kind of expensive but offers lots of features. - Meti
