    lol.. ofcourse their not "necessary" but having a phone does make life a lot easier.
    Cars aren't necessary either, but they sure help when you want to go anywhere far. ;)

    I would recommend the nexus 4 - the best value deal out there at the moment - google are apparently loosing money by selling this handset at such a low price, apparently because their strategy is to get people to sign up to their end-to-end payment system and drive down the prices/profits for all the competition.
