If you mean a social sharing slider plugin then Digg Digg was once famous. You can search for it on plugin page and use any which you like. I have used "Social Share Bar" for sometime on one of my blog recently.
It truly depends what you want to do.... If you want to run layers (text over images) or just fast loading. I am looking for the perfect layer slider but have not found one yet. If you want one that does everything but is heavy on resources then revolution slider will work.
Revolution slider has good features but is way to slow compared to other sliders like metaslider...I know revolution slider pretty well.....
