I guess you could try pinging to pingler.com or pingomatic.com
They send pings to major XML RPC servers on the web.

 

Right, ping-o-matic is a nice services for pinging purpose. Even better, it does have a JS button to be put on Firefox bookmark bar.

Pinging sites send out pings to a list of different sites which basically tells them that you've updated your site, it's a great thing to do after every update. I agree Pingler and pingomatic are the best.
