I think what's considered "the best" depends what the individual is looking for and his/her taste... You can Google "wordpress theme" and there'll be a lot of relevant results. http://themes.wordpress.net/ << large database of free themes http://www.wpthemesfree.com/ http://www.wpthemespot.com/ << they claim it's the "best of the best" http://topwpthemes.com/ << they claim they have the "best free themes for WordPress" http://www.ndesign-studio.com/resources/wp-themes/ << has only a few WordPress theme but they're simple and "professional-looking" Look around and you'll find what you want (I hope). You can also pay someone to make a customized WordPress theme. Good luck, oi!
Basically I want attractive themes geared towards a website and not a blog. One thing that irritates me about most WP themes is they all have that annoying hard to remove side bar and my content area is too skinny. So preferably I would want ones without a sidebar.
Ahh...I see. The sidebar can be removed and the width of the content area can be increased. There are some number of 1-column WordPress themes: http://themes.wordpress.net/?cats%5B%5D=1&sortby=date&order=DESC&andor=OR&submit=Show Those usually show only the content and some basic navigations.
