    I have only used OsCommerce. It's the most popular and the best free one I could find when I was looking for one.

    I've been using CS-Cart for about 4 years now and love it. I think the cost is $265.00 so it isn't free, but it is definitely well worth it.

    Very much so, yes. Design is completely separate from the logic bits so in most cases it is more customizable than anything else.

    I would suggest you try several shopping carts first, eg : opencart, magento, and oscommerce.
    If they don't suit your need, you have to settle for the custom-made carts.

    i think Open Cart is the best i also recommend TomatoCart ,benefits: the carts are open source and new ,check them out you will see what i mean.

    Hi all,
    I understand there are lots of different carts about but as a real rookie here. How does the money move from the shopping cart to your bank. Is it different from paypal where it goes into your paypal account?
    What sort of criteria must be met to put the cart onto your website? Again, with paypal you become verified to accept the monies going through, what about the other carts?

    Well, I don't know about the best shopping cart software as when a customer is satisfied then the shopping cart is said to be good otherwise people who face problems using them would not recommend it anymore. However, using one of them is really helpful in your store.
