What is the best server provider for a domain?

I'm looking to buy a new domain and wondering if you can tell me where your domain(s) are registered. I previously used one.com, but a programmor told me to switch for another project I'm working on to lacehost.

How is godaddy.com compared to one.com if you know that? Do you have any preferences? What kind of deals do you have with your webhost?

    Hi,

I've been using godaddy for a few years now, never had any problems, there are cheaper alternatives, but you get what you pay for

If you're going to buy a lot of domains, there's something to be said for using a Virtual Dedicated Server from GoDaddy.

If you buy both hosting and domains with us (Lacehost) , you will be able to manage everything from within a single client account. It will be easier to view next due dates, payments, support tickets for different services within a single portal.

Please PM me directly if you have any questions,
    Ishan

For domain registration I prefer namecheap.com and name.com. For web hosting I'm very happy with my Baby HostGator plan.

Godaddy is reliable and cheap, name.com is also my first choice.
if you look for web hosting, i vote for dreamhost, it's not over sell unlike hostgator.

I like HostGator for all of my dedicated server needs. It is definitely more expensive but it is considered a "managed server". Plus, the billing system and cpanel license is added for free (most places charge you extra for that). Also, they have a great tech staff available 24/7 via live chat or phone.

Godaddy is good for cheap domains. You can google godaddy coupon codes and save a few dollars on registration. But I wouldn't use their hosting.
