What a complete reviews Alis... Thanks. Maybe some of us find the other solution. Anyway for me, as I used cluster server. I love the Virtuozzo because of simplicity of design and easy to managed.

Is there any other control panel we didn't know out there that good and easy to use?

Actually there are but , still in open development in sourceforge.

Currently cpanel is still in developemnt you could check them out their forums you learn actually everything in panel management.

Virtuzzo yes i love it but there is wmware also that allows us to use more then on OS on Dedicated server .But thoe doesnt support burstable technology ,

I have 12 machines use for VPS (Virtuozzo + Wmware ) both of them are used.

But wmware is actually high priced ...

Thanks guys for reading the review.

I would recommend learning something about the OS you're intending the control panel for usage on. Configuring it directly will give you the greatest control of all over your server.

Although I am familiar with Linux, I decided to add a control panel to my server package, in case I cannot use SSH and need remote access, so I chose DirectAdmin (it was the cheapest). It's OK, unless you're wanting to use updated versions of server software (such as apache or mysql) or to use a different mail server or want an up-to-date version of php. It's OK if you're using fedora, it seems, but under Debian there are too many problems. I'm just glad that I don't often need to use it, now I've solved several problems.

I use webmin (sometimes) for my home server, but the best tool I use is vim (a text editor). It would be nice to have a control panel which works with OS-installed software rather than only being certified as compatible with software its scripts install.

I guess every control panel has its weaknesses. I can't recommend any of the CPs listed by the OP, as I haven't used them, but I'd give directadmin 7/10. It has a very easy to use interface, just a pain if you want anything changing "under-the-hood".

Yeah ... you're right. We all need to learn something from the good 'ol server OS. As I don't have any experience with directadmin, I can't tell you is't a good control panel. But all control panel are as same as each other is some other way.

But when you said Webmin, I'm flabbergasted because I use it in the early time it surfaced in Sourceforge few years ago. It's a good panel with many tool and room to explore and have a capabilities to become a secure and most importantly easy to manage and upgradable. By the way, the cost to implement this is nil.

(http://www.vmware.com/) Home site of wmware VPS product.

VPS technology gives opurtunities to users of the server to create , multi dedicated servers which are actually Virtual dedicated servers from one server.

There are other software's that also allow this but vmware is different from the others. When you divide into virtual servers , your os must be same. Such as in Swsoft's Virtuozzo (VPS) software ,.

In vmware we could divide the servers into different or simillar operating systems.

Such as accesing Linux based OS , and Microsoft based OS.

In this way you save time and money from operating more then one servers.

Afcourse each product has limitations in it. vmware also have a limitation in the memory (Ram) technology , as you know in virtuozzo you could get Burstable ram.

    Burstable ram:

Think a server that has 12 vps's on it , and the limit for each is 256 ram. But a user currently needs 512 ram. The software allows you to use 512 ram which is spared from the other users that dont need ram currently.

Virtuozzo allows this technology to users , but wmware doesnt.

İf you give something different then others you have take something away.

wmware allows different os's on the same machine but doesnt support burstable technology recently.

Still the software is being upgraded in the methodolgy and the technique of use.

    Using vmware

User's in virtuozzo panel knows that its simillar to manage a vps like a web control panel.

But in vmware its not quite easy as others. Some major options must be known after reading "How to use it".

Changes done by users allows the software to be better in some properties.

This is my review about vmware generally,

I'm still using wmvare and virtuozzo , they are both good the last two months i have been trying to learn a new control panel which ranked on lots of magazines.

Different technology but still learning the structure of the methodology.

Xen is a new vps technology and its user market is growing tremendously , lots of hosting companies are starting using xen. Infact they are complicated in choosing Xen or Virtuozzo or Vmware...

Thanks taking time reading my review.

    Best Regards

    Alis

I've used webmin, its free and I am surprised it was not mentioned. Also heard of another panel called VHCS which is free too. Not sure if its more complex than webmin or not but it is tailored for web hosting.

    www.vhcs.net

Anyone tried vhcs or heard of it?

cpanel kicks the f**k out of ensim, but there is a price premium.
