Hello All, I'm looking for an SEO company to work on my site. *points to the one on the left in his signature* But I want one that isn't gonna rake me over the coals or take my money and do nothing for me. So I'm coming to you guys. Is there any SEO company that stands apart from the rest that you guys know of? And what range of price should I be looking to spend. Any advice is thankfully accepted!
Guys if you want a reliable seo I know a very good one who has been doing great at getting sites in googles first page for tough keywords. Hes been doing this for 5+ years and i have known him for 3. Pm me and i will send you his portfolio so you can see the kind of work hes capable of, trust me u will like the keywords hes seo'ed so far. As far as price hes reasonably priced but it also depends on the kind of work thats needed and the keyword. He also has all contact details and phone contact of his clients so you can call them up yourself and speak to them to verify his work. Also, most of his clients are in America.
That's such a vague question... there are so many different SEO's, and maybe you are looking for a cheap fix solution. If you really want results in a competitive market you are going to have to pay for solid work.
You're not going to be able to get an honest answer here unless you can tell us what it is exactly that you want done. And I don't mean "rank #1 in Google for X keyword" either. Tell us exactly what it is you want done - link building, keywords research, a competitive keywords analysis, content development and optimization, search engine friendly Web development, are just a few examples of what a competent search engine optimization consultant will be able to offer - and then I'll be able to give you an idea of how much it should probably cost you if you went to a SEO company. Also bear in mind that external influences such as the cost of living and the value of specific currencies, not to mention how quickly the company works, will factor into the final total. [Disclaimer: I am not requesting an RFP or making a pitch for the job here. I'm just trying to give a ballpark figure of what the industry averages for the specific services the OP wants done will likely be.]
Agree with Dan, First of all, make a list over things you want someone to do with your site. SEO is not one fit all package. Try also to find out how much time/ money you are willing to spend on this matter. For believe me, if you want to do it properly, it will cost. And as Dan said, make sure what you are asking for: keywords, optimization on specific keywords.... link building or do you want someone to optimize the CMS you are using..... A lot of people get supprised when they realize that SEO is only 10-15% technical, rest is marketing and business development. At the end of the day, you want real people to visit your site, and hopefully give you a small share of wallet.
Hello, Sorry about the delay in response, Thank you for your tips. Basically we know we're looking at a major up hill battle against a popular keyword(s) So i know we're not going to be #1 for it. We've already done a lot of research on the Keywords our competitors use so i think what we really need an SEO company for is probably, link building, content development and optimization and search engine friendly Web development tips. (Any other tips of things i should be looking at with my site is greatly appreciated, diyautoparts.com is my site we are going to be working on for this SEO campaign.) I know the market is ever changing, i'm not looking for an exact figure just a ballpark estimate so I don't get cheated. A couple of companies we have looked at are Bruce Clay, INC. and Ithikon Enterprises, Inc. but i fear that big SEO companies mean big cost. So that's why I wanted to come to you guys and get an idea of what i'm facing or what i should be asking for exactly, so i don't sound like a tool... even though i'm sure it's far to late for that hahaha. Any advice is welcomed, even if you may know if those two companies are any good or not, or if there is a more reasonably priced one. We spend far to long dickering around with our SEO ourselves and we're not seeing much result because of it, so we're hoping the money we spend now for some "Professional help" well be paid back in search engine results where we don't end up on page 15 of Google... hahaha cause that's not gonna net us any customers. Well thanks for reading and i look forward to your comments! (Edit: we are at about 65% Pay per Click & 35% Natural Search engine results, We are looking to flip flop those percentages, so that we are coming in at a Higher Natural Search Engine Result rather then shoveling money to feed the Google Adwords monster is our Primary goal)
Well, it's not ever-changing, unless you're a spammer really. Great content, great code and great incoming links will be the three keys you need in order to get to the top of the search engines, much less rank well. Why don't you take a look in the services section of the forums here for some providers that can do what you're looking for. The first link in my signature will take you to such a thread, but don't hesitate to check out the others as well before making a decision. And as much as I hate to say it, anyone who posts in this thread "I am SEO. I can rank your site #1. Please hire me." isn't worth contacting since they can't even follow the basic forum rules.
I'm an SEO consultant, but I'm not looking to take on new clients at this time, so no ulterior motives in this post other than to give some free SEO advice to show how awesome I am and help you decided what you need. I had a very quick look at your site and with so many products (20K pages indexed in Google) it's the sort of site that can do really well in traffic terms in Google. Worst sites for an SEO to work on are those with a handful of pages, your pretty much reliant on either adding a lot of new content for long tail SERPs or aiming for hard SERPs which without lots of links are almost impossible. So with all that content your in a strong position for lots of traffic from easy SERPs. Your on page isn't too bad, you've made a few basic mistakes for example stuffing your title elements with a lot of stuff you ideally wouldn't have on a products type page, for example- http://www.diyautoparts.com/car-parts/suzuki-auto-parts.shtml Ideal title would be "suzuki auto parts" with maybe another related SERP. Your suzuki forum is here http://www.diyautoparts.com/forum3/viewforum.php?f=66&sid=396a06a7c7b33c26d72818b153f05e5f (look into removing session IDs btw) and so that's where you aim for that SERP, not your suzuki auto parts page. Similar sort of mistake here http://www.diyautoparts.com/search/beck/relay/203-0023.shtml A title like "Beck Arnley RELAY 203-0023" with a qualifying keyword to identify what it is like "Beck Arnley RELAY 203-0023 Auto Part" would be ideal. I had a client who would not no matter what I said remove the word discount or cheap from his page titles because they believed it results in a high click thru rate! Made life a little more difficult for me, my argument has always been try to get extra words like cheap and discount in your meta description, (potential customers will read it still) since it costs valuable title real estate that should go on the main keyword for that page. Would rather have a top 5 SERP lacking the word cheap/discount than the same top 5-10 SERP with one of those words. The former will get more traffic. Anyway, these are not big deal on page SEO mistakes and are easily fixed. Read my SEO tutorial http://www.seo-gold.com/seo-tutorial might point you in the right direction. BTW remove the hidden commented out text like- <!--Beck Arnely RELAY 203-0023 parts, Beck Arnley RELAY 203-0023 auto parts, Beck Arnely RELAY 203-0023 auto part Do It Yourself Auto Repair: do it yourself car repair, Do It Yourself Car Repairs, Car Repairs --> Doesn't help your SERPs and doesn't look good. That brings me to what you really need. Links, links, links and more links. Did I mention you need links With so many pages you need Google to consider your site trustworthy. This can only be achieved through aged links (IME a link needs to be online for 9+ months to pass full SEO benefit). You should be aiming at enough links to have at least a PR5 home page, this will give your deeper pages a reasonable chance of ranking for low traffic long tail SERPs. This doesn't mean get your home page to PR5 and your site is trusted, but generally it hard to get a 'trusted' state with a Pr less than PR5 IME. It's this deeper (long tail) traffic where a site like yours can prevail, you have so many pages that if you target each page to one relatively easy SERP and pump in a little link juice (can be all to the home page) you can see multiple thousands of unique visitors a day. Good luck. David Law
Hello, First time on this forum and like religion I only turn to you when I need something! I own a home improvement website which has done OK for the past couple of years but believe it can do better. Following the post above I wondered if there were any good SEO companies you could recommend (preferably in Scotland). Two people I know have recommended one company in Glasgow (Northstar Marketing Support), however I want a couple to contact and compare before making a final decision. I'd prefer a less risky approach to SEO so payment on success would be best - if even possible? If you can help me through this predicament I promise I'll come back more often... oh wait that's religion again. Thanks in advance.
Google, SEO and see who comes up on the first page. Odds are they know what they are doing and reputable.
Thanks theseoguys, I've done that but don't really want to take a risk on our SEO campaign. I've been told SEO companies can take your cash and fail to actually deliver value. I'd like a company willing to work on success i.e. get our website on page 1 of Google for keyword X and receive a small payment. Am I asking too much? Does this payment method exist? The company I mentioned previously do something like this, but it's a monthly charge with a yearly contract. I'll keep searching. Thanks again
Best Company would describe a company that provides you the services as per your website’s requirement with amazing creativity that can be beneficial for your web site. We’re running a Web Development and SEO Company named - DigiMantra Labs - Web Design and Development Company | IT Services and has served lots of clients. Our charges for SEO are minimal as per industry and for that you can directly mail us at here and after analysing your website and keywords, we can finalize the price.
This is also my headache question for a long time. There are so many company (or just an individual) SEO. I see all they do is get an order then go to Fiverr for outsource. The quality as you know: terrible. I hope I can get some ideas in this thread
SEO Moz -- they won't edit your website for you, but their SEO analysis of your site is second to none.
I use an SEO company that is the only one I've ever dealt with that doesn't charge any upfront fees. They don't charge me anything until they get me ranked for the keywords that they promised, so I'm not risking anything like I would with other companies. They're honest, upfront and either get me listed for the keywords that are most profitable to my website, or give me other suggestions.
