This thread should provide a real benefit to both newbies and the rest of Digital Point. I'd like to see what comes out as the best ranked resource of all.

I should say if you want to have a complete guide and beginner tips for SEO, spend the money for the SEO Book by Aaron Wall. It provides a wide coverage on all SEO aspects and a beginner should be able to understand what Aaron is trying to convey since the diction used was simple English.
i think the best seo book is GOOGLE it's so easy to use. you must only write the magic word and it will give a start point
The book that got me into the SEO is this one. I still think there is no better and I read it all. http://success.grownupgeek.com/index.php/2007/05/01/free-ebook-preface/
I used SEObook , other than that read this forum post . I'm getting lots of SEO traffic by implementing dp members ideas...
Seobook is a good ebook as said here, of course if you have time, you can read around the DP forum, you will get good information
For people wishing to learn seo the main ebook i recommend is search engine optimization for dummies by Peter kent. http://www.amazon.com/Search-Engine-Optimization-Dummies-Peter/dp/0764567586
seobook is great but not suitable for newbie. I bought it and still having difficulties fully understand the entire concept and techniques written there. But it is a very good guide. (tips, I have to read it a few (at least three time to understand some basic concept). Regards, Stephen
I think the best e-book I read are those coming from the "real" SEO experts not just some "experts wannabes"... Those who are helpful not just selling e-books for income....
I love the SEObook by Aaron Wall... its pretty big, but lots of good info in there. And some stuff I never thought off, I'm a newbie, but I got most of it
