    Who knows. You can money pretty much selling any thing to the right audience. There are tons of Alibaba distributors that will allow you to brand their items by putting your name and logo on the packaging.

    nobody I know wears a traditional watch anymore - if it doesn't double as (at a minimum) a pedometer then they don't get bought. Syncing with trainingpeaks and strava is a basic requirement these days.

    You may not know anyone who wears a traditional watch but everyone I come in contact with wears a higher end time piece. Especially in the business world. Breitling, Panerai, Rolex, Omega etc. These luxury watches have a huge loyal following from young to old. They are also $x,xxx to $xx,xxx. Then you have lower end pieces like Movada, Invicta etc. then Citizen and Fossil. Absolutely there is a market for time pieces. However, I can't remember the last time i checked the time on my breitling but I always wear one.

    cool, and that's where business planning and market research comes in. We all move in different circles.

    I will admit to checking the watch someone wears when I meet them for the first time - brand is still important and the type of watch gives instant info about how seriously the person trains. Even friends who don't exercise or compete in anything still have fitbit type watches to track their activity each day.

    and what would you do with "best-seller" product if you had it?
    do you have $3-$5k in order to get it off the ground? Can you write
    engaging content? if not, then you have to buy either, either way that
    equates to time, money, or both. How about marketing? Do you know FB
    ads, Content/SEO marketing? are you willing to commit to ongoing
    SEO for many months with nothing to show for upfront?

    you really need to ask yourself some hard questions like, are you
    willing to commit $$$ long term hoping your site takes off?

    I hope your only research is not limited to what others are
    saying here, some niches are tougher then others, and I
    would not settle on a trend that has been in decline for
    a few years now; dont take my word for it; do more research.

    getting a site off the ground and making money is not an easy task....
