I'm launching three totally awesome information products. This is my first step into the information product market, and I'm really excited about it. I'm thinking of using clickbank because of their large affiliate network, but I've given some thought to handling all of it myself or maybe using some other payment processor. One of the reasons that I am thinking of doing this is because I want to offer some very special incentives to my affiliates. I will soon be living on a beautiful island in the caribbean (June 1st is my move date!!!) and I want to bring any of my affiliates who makes a certain number of sales down to the island for a special free trip where they can meet me, other affiliates of mine, and have a great free vacation and networking opportunity. I'm not sure if clickbank is the best way for me to track this so that I can offer that to my affiliates. Would it be better for me to get a merchant account and set up my own affiliate program/software? I'd be very curious what other people who offer information products (either through clickbank or themselves) do to set themselves apart from all of the other products out there in order to make their deal as attractive as possible for their affiliates (I know that I need an excellent product, kickass sales pages, and lots of tools for my affiliates to use). So, what do you do with your information products? Additionally, if I'm going to solicit joint ventures, I kind of wonder how potential partners will view clicbank products versus other payment processing options.
Well if you use Clickbank you can have affiliates sell your product too. If you use paypal it is just you who gets the money, and sells and if you use paydotcom i dont think they have as many affiliates you can both get paid instantly through paypal.
Yeah, clickbank is alright, but they are starting to go down hill. Less affiliates are using them now and it looks as if this may continue unless they get their act together. They don't treat their small affiliates well at all.
