    Yes nice song :

    We will not go down
In the night, without a fight
You can burn up our mosques and our homes and our schools
But our spirit will never die
    We will not go down

    In Gaza tonight

There is no military tactic that will defeat Israel, everyone has seen that they can cripple Hamas at will. Unfortunately Hamas puts the civilians under its leadership in harms way. They fire rockets at Israeli civilian populations and expect no retaliation? Please. I have no respect for Hamas as they even use Schools & Hospitals to base their military operations. They use Red Crescent ambulances to transport their military personnel, which totally destroys any future credibility in the supposedly neutral organisation. They kill their own people in more ways than one, it's a shame that this terrorist organization was allowed to get into power. Israel is far from blame free but they have just as much right to defend their people from rocket attacks.

I guess Israel managed to make itself defeated once again

they withdraw....their offensive objectives are failed

Hamas is hurt, but still quite capable as a fighting force, they win as the defending side

It seems Hamas implement the above tactic quite effectively

It is so simple, hard to believe no one ever tries:

STOP TRYING TO KILL THE PEOPLE IN ISRAEL, STOP TRYING TO KILL JEWS.

You probably won't understand it, I did write it in English.

It is so simple, hard to believe no one ever understand:

THERE IS NO PEACE WHEN FREEDOM IS NOT YET ATTAINED
THERE IS NO PEACE WHEN THERE IS STILL INJUSTICE

You probably won't understand it, I did write it in English.

    ------------------------------------------------

maybe because you never how it feel being colonized and oppressed
my country is opressed by europeans for 350 years
millions are enslaved and massacred while the wealth of our land is taken away for centuries

our founding father foughts oppressors with sharpened bamboo to fight machine guns and tanks and yet we won....even millions are martyred to fight for freedom...our county awash with blood of our patriots

    back then our principle is
    MERDEKA ATAU MATI!!

    LIBERTY OR DEATH!!

again....I guess you guys never understand how it feel to be oppressed...

Israel met their objectives or they wouldn't have stopped the fighting. Hamas only uses them to rearm. 100 Snipers will not hold off an infantry battalion. You do realize infantry bn's have mortars in them right? Hamas snipers wouldn't stand a chance. Add that to Mk-19's and hamas would be running for the hills. You have no idea of military tactics otherwise you wouldn't have proposed that.

    1. Good tactic honestly, for any side. Cover is your friend. Where you can't find cover, look for concealment.
    2. Also a good tactic that all militaries use.
    3. Hiding umongst the civilians. How brave. 50 yards or closer? Suicide.
    4. Good point, however, by the time the RPG is fired and strikes it's target, the firer will be dead.
    5. They tried this in Iraq, didn't really work too well. IED's are a scared man's weapon.
    6. Stupid. Where are they going to find 100 snipers in Palestine that are good enough shots to do this? People don't just stand still when they are getting hsot at (unless they are horrible under stress) Any commander will call in air support and have their mortars start shooting, as well as having artillery rain down upon them. Out of those 100 snipers, maybe 25 will hit their targets. Snipers work well in ones or twos, not 100.

Dude, you'd be great trying to get out of paying off a bet after a sporting event.

First people are crying about death, destruction and carnage. Big, bad, Israel is beating us up. Get beat, lose, and then claim victory.

Strange... Very strange. Dare I say completely delusional.

winning or losing is decided by achieving the goals that been set for the operation, so if the illegal state of Israel goal was to kill civilians and destroy their infrastructure then for sure they have made a great victory, if their goal was to stop Hamas rule over Gaza, then they made a great defeat, and so on you can check by yourself to know, but you may find it hard because the illegal state of Israel did not have clear goals,

at the beginning they said they goal was to "change the rules of the game with Gaza"..

what game? it can be chess, and it can be Hamas rule over Gaza, and it can be firing rockets ... etc they made this goal mysterious so whatever the result was at the end, they would claim they have achieved that goal,

at another point it was to secure the South, obviously now both South, and Middle are not secure, since Hamas rockets reached there and did not stop till the last day of the operation, they even threat to attack totally new ranges,

later the goal was to stop smuggling weapons, how can we know now if smuggling weapons have stopped or not? and what "smuggling weapons" has to do when most of Hamas rockets are home-made?

so imo they got a big defeat in Gaza, added to the big defeat they got in 2006, in additional to the moral loss they got when the world have seen the true nature of the criminal illegal state of Israel after the crimes they committed in Gaza.

I heard Israel is calling this defeat the great catastrophe.

May all Israel's 'losses' be like this one. ;)

Any action that kills terrorists, no matter how many are killed is a HUGE victory in the War on Terror.

No one wants war but when every country around them refuses to accept that they are a valid state then what choice do they have left. Israel have done themselves no favours by starting this war though because it only creates more hatred towards them in the middle east. It's a tough situation, on the one hand they must defend their people and on the other, what right do they have to cause so much death and destruction?

Both sides used dirty warface to achieve their 'goals' but nothing was achieved except most of a country being levelled to the ground and civillians getting killed. Do they think the Palestinians will just brush this off or take this hatred to their graves? They have only unleashed more fuel to the extremists fire and potentially created a whole new generation of terrorists. There are NO winners in war, only dead people.

how were they victorious, Gaza lost 1300 people, 5,000 houses were destroyed, and 20,000 houses need repair. Hamas didn't reach any objective.
Israel lost 13 people, not only a dozen houses were damaged. Israel sort of achieve objective for now.

I guess it's up to the people to decide whose victories.
Israel object in this war was to stop the rocket attack, which they did. their haven't been to any rocket attack within the last few days. if they start shooting rockets again then hamas is victorious, but I doubt they will, as you all have seen the destruction in Gaza. I doubt they want to see that again.but who knows,I'm pretty sure in four months they will start again.

In order for Hamas toto be victorious they need better weapons to fight, such as antitank and antiaircraft weapons. without those there is no way they can win. Even if they do win, Israel can always nuke them.

Hamas are the losers in the current fighting. What was left of the Gazan economy was destroyed. In the current economic climate, Hamas is going to find it more difficult to get funding.

Martyrdom has become a way of live.
