    In laptops I prefer Hewlett-Packard or Dell as both of them have a good reputation and service is available

    All of the Brand are good, I choose Dell for having a good quality and performance. you can also try the other brands if you like.
    but check how much cost you on other brands like Sony Vaio or Mac, but if you have that money to buy that kind of Brand then choose that brand :)

    I would go for a Dell - very reliable and well price. Although I also like HP/Compaq...they make some nice kit too!

    If you are gonna run Windows operation systems best option is Sony Vaio . Mac is also great choice . Acer , Hp , toshiba ( which I am using currently ) is not recommended. Dell can be second option if you run Windows , after Sony Vaio.
