    Hey everyone,

I want some answers to this challenging question, all laptops are different...

Choose from the following big names (or name a brand you know)

    HP (Hewlett Packard)
    TOSHIBA (Toshiba)
    ASUS (Asus computers)
    DELL (Dell)
    LENOVO (Lenovo)

    etc....

I want a lot of answers because I am planning my next buy.
    Thanks a lot

Check out my blog if you want

-Lenovo/IBM are the best and most reliable laptops and I have owned various thinkpad models and can recommend them confidently
-Dell are good for budget, entry level owners but depends what you are using it for really
-ASUS make great hardware components BUT the people i know that have owned them seem to be dispointed and run into probs. So Not yet, maybe wait til they develop and refine them more?

I like the Toshiba for reliability, not keen on Acer as I've had disk problems dell is good for its warranty period but the ones I've had didn't last more than a few months after

If you are looking for good features, go for Sony Vaio but good and economical models are available from Dell.

My next laptop will be a Lenovo, probably a 14". They are the best in terms of reliability and mobility, best 'business' laptops imo.

If you are more focused on multimedia and gaming I can recommend ASUS. A friend of mine just got his 3rd ASUS and can't stop praising them. ;)

I have used toshiba for a long time. I hate when the processor drags like a 486! But if you are into web design a Mac is king every day, every other way.

    Hey Small,
Are you open to buying a Mac? Or are you staying n Windows Xp/Vista platform?
I use a MacBook Pro and love it - been on Macs now for several years. Haven't had any major hardware or software issues, plus it just looks so damn smooooth... :)
