That kind of depends on your budget and needs.

I have always had bad luck with HP and Compaq.

    Never owned a Dell

Toshiba, Lenovo and Acer have all 3 been great.

The Toshiba was brand new $750.
    Lenovo was brand new $350.
    Acer was used for $100.

I use all three everyday. One stays in my home office, one travels with me and one stays in the bedroom for Netflix :D

Once we get settled into our new house, I am getting a top of the line all-in-one desktop - haven't decided which one yet.

I would simply use Amazon reviews here http://www.amazon.com/Best-Sellers-Electronics-Laptop-Computers/zgbs/electronics/565108 to make your decision.

Two Companies are very famous and good in performance

    1. Apple Price arrange 700$ - 1000$
    2. Sony .....................1500$ - 2500$
    3. HP............................600$ - 1000$
    4. Samsung..................550$ - 800$

these laptops are best for windows use because i shared with you my own experience hope you like it. Thanks

Apple beats every other brand. I have tried almost all laptop brands. BUT Apple is MAC and not windows.

Asus provides very good configuration at affordable prices but support is very bad.
Dell's support is very good, but their warranty extension charges are high.
Acer, had a bad experience with it.
Lenovo, they have imporved a lot (well friends say so)
    HP, lots of hardware trouble.
Sony Vaio, I have heard that they are out of the market now.

So amongst these, you can go for Dell. They have good battery life too.

I have owned just about every major brand of laptop and there are some real good ones and some I would not buy no matter what.

Out of every brand I have owned Lenovo have been the best. I use a Lenovo every day and I can tell you that you will not be disappointed at all. They make great laptops, even their cheap $300 laptops are great, especially when you compare them to similarly priced and spec'ed brands.

I used to be a big Toshiba and Sony laptop fan. However in the last few years they have really disappointed me as far as quality.

It's really depends on your budget. But I can simply say you should try for ASUS PC. Budget is not so big. It's within limit.

I like Lenovo laptops because they have great performance for the money. And also the design is not too bad :)

The one which will fit your budget and needs. Personally, I like Asus. It's perfect for me. Gaming is handled without any problem and it's perfect for work, a bit more heavy apps and it could be used as a simple web browsing laptop.

best laptop will either be asus rog or msi.
dell, hp, Compaq, acer, etc are like 1 year disposable laptops, no matter the price tag. (speaking from an electrical background and repairing computers since 1996).
I see apple listed, yes while they have good build quality, they just don't have the processing power due to their super bloated OS. In addition the price tag of their systems is laughable, you're stuck paying the same laughable prices for software, and you're crippled by the limitations of their software libary. (speaking as a owner and from a prior support staff)
the only thing apple has going for it, is a slightly larger security gap over windows. But linux "most distros" is far more secure, lighter, perform faster than apple/mac os.

Future proof yourself and go msi or rog. dual boot windows and linux, then have the best of both worlds.

I've had malware loaded on by their service agents and I've uncovered adsense scams being run through their call centres. These things happen, what I object to is HP's total lack of concern when its been reported.

Isn't that kind of like blaming the ISP when you fall for an online scam?

Nope, in the first instance - if I phone a company and organise for something to be repaired under warranty and have to use one specific contractor for that repair and there is a problem then I expect the company to be interested in what is happening.

In the second instance call centre reps were "checking that fixes to a customer's system had worked" by opening up their own websites and clicking the ads. Because it was done via screen sharing the clicks would have a wide range of IPs, user agents etc. This was happening in official company call centres and were a clear breach of ethics.
