Every keyword tool was and is ran off of the Google keyword tool. I have had so many over the years if you looking to buy one why not try Traffic Travis they offer a free trial and version ... They over complicate keyword tools these days and add so much extra crap that is not a fun experience using them.. I like market samurai ...
You may want to try Bing keyword tool: http://www.bing.com/toolbox/keywords I have not used, so I can't tell if it's good or not, but it's worth checking it out.
I doubt that someone has more statistical data than Google, to show results more precisely. Even for money.
No doubt to this, Google Keyword is best as of now... Yes it is changed and it is now keyword planner, it works for the same purpose with improvement.
Hi Maricar - you might like to check out my post about how "most KW tools are garbage" lol https://forums.digitalpoint.com/threads/warning-paid-for-keyword-research-tools-are-garbage.2676978/ Let me know any thoughts! Cheers, Malc
A paid program called http://www.keywordspypro.com/ makes keyword research a lot easier. It helps you identify the keywords used by your competitors or by any site and so you can check which of these keywords are making them money. Isn't that nice?
None of the tools give your exact numbers, even the paid tools provide you with just estimation. So I don't feel the need of going with paid tools, unless you want to achieve something beyond just keywords. Google keyword is best thus far and most of these paid tools fetch data from Google itself.
Incorrect. Google is hiding all the long tail information which is crucial to someone who is starting a brand new site. Right tools can help you discover those. You really shouldn't be giving SEO advice cuz it doesn't seem like you know what you're talking about
ha ha ha ha, take a chill pill. I really don't need you to tell me what I know and what I don't. You better search for me on Google and you'll get the answer. and I very well know what I am talking about, but I guess you're not habitual of reading the full comment carefully. I clearly mentioned that if you want to achieve something beyond just keyword research then Google may not help you. But Google can tell you each and everything provided you know how to use Google and it's products. Do you think that there are keyword discovery tools which can show you millions of searches for long tail keywords which Google doesn't? and if you think so then I doubt if anyone of DP would even bother reading your comment.
