What is the best: "I like" button or "Like" box

I came across an issue with the "i like" button. I ve found it is not possible to associate a Facebook page to an "I like button". A I like button is only associated with a webpage link.
Thus, when you setup an I like button against your own website, Facebook create a Facebook webpage for this link. This webpage is shown under "shared links" category in Facebook search.

It is will be a kind of Link page. With this kind of webpage you cannot upload new photos. The profile picture is imported from your website, and the profile description is also imported from your website through open graph tags.

With the like box it is different. You can make the URL point a Facebook page so that people will link to your Facebook page rather than your Webpage link.

I am wondering which one is the best... I Like button that is linked to your webpage or I like box that is linked to your Facebook page.

    What do you think ?
