What is the best free directory script?

hi ,

i want to start a article directory and i need suggestion on how much of disk space is required for starting or it is depending on sql database size

 

The size will depend on how many categories/links there are in the database.

This is a really old thread by the way

I am new to coding of any type, but I tried your code in my new bizdirectory installation and it comes up with this error.

Parse error: parse error, unexpected ')' in /home/content/b/a/r/barrie101/html/bizdirectory/index.php on line 66

if I remove the ) at the end it just tells me unexpected ; at the end expecting ')'

I have download script from Php Link Directory..Its running fine, I want my pages static, but i have tried a lot the suggetion of Just4 Teens many times,, But still facing prob. I m unable to follow those steps in which written that Find N Replace ..
My .htaccess looks like this

Don't know if you have heard of Link bid script. Its a free directory script , originally a bfp script but its been used for regular directory as well
