wordpress blogspot, posterous, tumblr, etc.. there is nothing best, as every blog platform offers different things
Blogspot is probably the most common, and then Wordpress, but wordpress is mosre user frenly *i think
If you want to earn from google or other advertisement source then blogger is the best. Free wordpress will not allow you to insert any advertisement code in your blog.
Blogger/Blogspot of course - the only blogging platform that makes the Alexa top 10. On Wordpress they don't like you using Adsense/affiliate links on your free blog do they?
blog spot is the best in my opinion too as they give tremendous facilities and good space to the blogger. Money making is also easier with them.
For the beginners I prefer to suggest blogger because it easy to use And wordpress for more professionalism
I`m sure that blogspot (Google blog) is the best online free blog! - for web results. For design Wordpress because has lots of themes and great plugins, and are "all" free
If we're talking about blog functionality only, then the consensus here and elsewhere would suggest blogger is the favorable platform, for a whole lot of reasons (not least of which being ease of setting up). You'd want to be sure you would only ever want the blog features though, as you're not going to be able to add anything on later (it is and will remain a blog, nothing more, nothing less). If in doubt on that point, go for a full website editor, and just use the blog feature until you're ready to grow.
Blogger if the blog will be of commercial nature and contains affiliate links or similar, otherwise wordpress.com Wordpress.com is the better freehost in my opinion, but they kick commercial blogs on sight without warning.
Wordpress for functionality and an excellent range of ad ons, but i found that it can be slow. Blogger is quicker but less customisable
I've used the Blogger one once, but did not care for it. I just began a free Wordpress blog today, and cross-linked it with my home page and redwood page. I really like the way that Wordpress functions and customizes. Been working on it periodically over the past few days.
