Hello all, I have been into SEO in the past but am starting to try my hand at some PPC. The first thing I did was run a direct linking campaign. I wrote some catchy ad copy which got good click through and therefor a high quality index, but observed what many here say, the conversion rate was not high enough to pay the PPC expense. So I now need to try landing pages. I understand that I will need to experiment to determine the best landing pages, but I thought this poll may provide some good insight as to where to start the experimentation. I see 4 main types of landing pages: 1. A single product review. 2. A multiple product review 3. A page that shows point form benifits for a product, a nice image, maybe a testimonial and a "learn more" link. 4. An opt in page. Or maybe there are types I have missed? Any advice is appreciated and I hope some others find this helpful as well.
I would either go with a single product or multiple products review page, depending on what niche I am in. If it's a competitive niche with many quality products, then I would create a review page for different products in the same niche. However, if there is only one good-converting product in the niche, then I would do single product review.
It all depends on the situation, the market, etc. There's very different kinds of people in different niches so you have to adjust your campaign to their way of thinking. Experimentation is best for that...
Thanks guys, I am starting to agree bl4ckman that review style pages might be the best to try first, you also tend to see a fair few of them, so the right ones must convert. Yeah lemonarian, it seems getting into the mind set of your target domographic and understanding what they really desire and hitting that chord with them is what will really get the conversions. Thanks for the advice.
