Some advice please on a file hosting script i dont want to use a free version so what is the best payed for version out on the market is it still the yabsoft one ??? I have the domain and the hosting sorted out but the script is the one that is giving me the headache at the moment so if you could give me your thoughts on it please.Thanks

Right i would like some help choosing another File Hosting script i have the yabsoft script setup with a valid licence and yes it looks good presentation wise but is highly unstable and i am loosing faith in it very quickly,some one has suggested XFileSharing but i cannot find any details on this one yet i have the arwscript one that runs very stable but i dont think it looks very upmarket and business like.

Any thoughts or suggestion for other scripts please as i have just payed for a high end dedicated server for this project but i need reliabilty.

 

The best bet would be to get a custom coded script, you will have an lot of new features that you can give your site users and also you have complete control of what you are doing. It will be expensive but in the long run, it would be the best.

I personally feel yabsoft to be the best.. I had been hacked with other scripts but ever since I installed yabscript since the last year it has been very safe and secure throughout.

If you are not using a custom coded script then I think there is no better option than yabsoft.

 

@waziuz i have to agree with your comment my File Hosting site http://www.filethe.net is as rock solid as it gets and set up using 2 big dedicated servers !!! Do you still own one yourself ???

 

yes I do own a file host with yabsoft

I had used other cheap hosting scripts previously but they were not very good in terms of security.. I used to receive a lot of DDOS attacks etc. but after using yabsoft all those problems have ended .. I have only one dedicated server right now for the file host and it is working fine

I recommend yabsoft to anybody who is serious about opening a file hosting service.. however it is even better if you build a file hosting yourself

I eventually changed over to using the sibsoft Filehosting script about 8 months ago and i should have done that from the start,the yabsoft script was not the best move and i still have a licence for both fiehost and the image host but i am looking at keeping the latter licence.

 

you should get a custom coded script that will allow you to use multiple servers.

 

@ fanturo the sibsoft XFileSharing Pro script does offer the multiple server facility so a custom coded script is not required.

 

We decided that as we have a spare licence for a filehosting script we would start a new site its still in the early stages http://www.myfilesforever.com but its starting to come together rather well and is on a dedicated server.
