    For my normal job, I cant be late because I work for myself.
    For the miliary, I get there an hour before Im supposed to so Im never late.

    If you have a normal hourly corporate type job blaming it on traffic/weather works or just make it as embarrasing as possible. Though I would save the embarassing excuse for when you want to skip.
