    Hello,
    I'm looking for a complete chat suite (free or commercial) to add to my site. I need it to have the following features:

    - not flash or java based
    - moderation (ban, warn, block users)
    - blocks taboo words
    - audio and video chat
    - private chat
    - multiple rooms
    - fast and secure
    - scaleable

    Up to know I just found BlaB! and prochatrooms which seem to have most of these features, but want to look for alternatives. So I appreciate your suggestions, hints and experience with any of the chat scripts.

    Go for FlashChat (flash based) or TinyChat. Both of them are great.

    TinyChat isn't re-brandable as your own website's though, is it?

    Is that $5 TuFat chat script really that good? I can't even find a working site or demo! I'd love to see what it looks like in practice if anyone knows of any websites using it!

    Only option I can think to add for OP is avchat.net - not flash based, works with mobiles, pretty darn decent looking.

    I'm going to start a chatroom site and looking for a software (paid or free) with following features:

    - Modern looking (not relics from hotscripts)
    - Multiple rooms
    - Private chat
    - Scalable
    - Secure
    - Preferably written in node.js, php, python or golang (but not in flash)
    - Responsive design (mobile-friendly)
    - Preferably using websockets

    I appreciate your suggestions
