What is the Best Blogging Platform?

    I'm sure this question has been posed before, but technology and tastes change.

    What do you think is the best blogging platform? Currently, I use Blogger simply because it was all the rage when I started back in the early/mid-2000s and I have continued to use it simply because I understand it.

    Wordpress seems like a steady-Eddie, and tumblr is experiencing a boom, but for an everyday writer, I wonder what the best option is. Does typepad still exist?

    Blogger is best for free bloggning because its index very quickly and allow Google adsense ads but Wordpress not allow any kind of ads.

    Blogger is the best but if you wanna own a real "HQ" blog go with Wordpress self-hosted version.

    I like self-hosted WP because, with enough tinkering and replacing of themes, you can actually find a theme which looks more like a genuine website and less like a blog. Of course if you just want a blog, Blogger is probably best.

    Blogger is the best FREE version, that is you can fully customize it, for free. Wordpress is the best option if you're looking to pay for hosting and stuff, although Wordpress does have it's issues such as duplicate content and potentially slow loading times, but no platform is perfect. Basically if you wanna spend money go with Wordpress, if not, go with Blogger. :) Hope that helps!

    Self hosted, wordpress platform...you can still have adsense on there, there are many plugins you can use to do it or just hard code in! For every day use...use that!!
