Today was the worst day of my life.
I got keylogged and lost my 1 year rapidshare account with around 50,000 points and 1 Tb stuffs uploaded. Lost my paypal with 404$ which i was putting aside for my iPHONE! and numberous of other stuffs such as mail, msn etc..but i managed to get my dp account back. Anyways so i was using vista+norton which is the worst combination on earth and i learnt my lesson. So my question s is what is the best Av out,

    Problems with Previous avs
    Nod32 - License problems
BitDefender- Not allowed me to go to p0rn , warez sites. Detected all cracks and keygens
Norton- Nothing to say just that its a Piece of shit!

I've used Kaspersky AV for two years, still using it, and it seems to be the best for me. It's got two modes of functioning, an easy one, which makes the decisions for you and an advanced one that asks you for decisions.

It's got file, web, mail and application modules that you can activate separatedly.

    Best option, IMO.

AVG, VERY good, free (as of now), and not a resource hog.

    YES.

Norton is such a resource hog, and it doesn't do as good as a job it use too.

The free versions of AVG, Avast and AntiVir should be enough for home users.

I wish people wouldnt bash a product just because they "heard" it's rubbish.

The latest version of Norton Internet Security or AV (2008) is an excellent product. I admit the previous versions of Norton have been quite bad, but the 2008 versions of their software are brilliant...use very low resources, lower in fact than Kaspersky...I tested them both!

Well, I have used it, so I have a right to state my opinion, or as you call it, rubbish.

It is not an excellent product, let me throw a couple trojan's at you, I am willing to guarantee Norton will let them through.
On the other hand, Norton attempts to block out programs that are not infected with a virus or malicious software.

I don't know in comparison how much Kaspersky takes up in space, but I know that Norton uses a lot of space and when running, will slow your computer down.
