Hi everyone. I would like to know what you think is the best plugin for making auto-updated wordpress blogs using rss. I know of a few such as wp-o-matic and smartRSS, but in your past experiences what do you think is the best one to use? Also, if someone could post a link to a decent cron job tutorial, that would be geat, because I just can't seem to get my head around cron jobs Thanks in advance.
Looks like wp-o-matic is the best bet so far. Does anyone have a demo site they would like to post the link to?
Cron jobs should be simple. The problem I usually have is my server requiring a slightly different instruction code. Your server may have a tutorial available.
I use SmartRSS. It is pretty good! Has anyone used both SmartRSS and wp-o-matic? I was curious as to what wp-o-matic does differently than SmartRSS.
Another one is AutoBlogged (http://autoblogged.com), it does auto-tagging and lets you control the post template.
hey guys i was looking for Wordpress Plugin AutoBlogging for free any help in this regard would be highly appreciated
Here it is a site with WP-o-Matic (http://yareoan.vn2k.net/). But it looks like it forget to ping SE. I created this site more then 1 week ago and it is still not indexed. One of the main feature it is free.
using those rss feed will only give you truncated post of between 20 - 30 words . Look at this - it gives your the whole article and also add no-follow attribute to source. your articles are at least 300 words warriorforum.com/warrior-special-offers-forum/59058-automatic-blog-wordpress-plugin-automatically-post-quality-content-discount-first-50-a.html
You cant read a single line on that blog, that's probably why its not indexed. Google cant understand what it's saying Seeing as how its free, is there any option to search and replace words to make a legible site for content. Ive started using autoblogged with custom search and replace strings to convert synonyms like house to home or car to automobile and for the most part its totally legible unless it comes across a word within a word and converts it cover= camouflage so it would make a sentance "the farmer's like to wear coveralls" to the farmer's like to wear camouflagealls".
I'm surprised no one mentioned RSS2Blog. I've used it for a couple years and it does a great job. Better than wp-o-matic or SmartRSS, in my opinion.
