You lucky b*stard. I lived on Canterbury Road for a couple of months a few years back. Life consisted of watching Neighbours while polishing off slabs of VB before a few games of pool in the Espy. I would literally give my left testicle to go back.

If I am not mistaken the average salary in my country (Greece) is about 1200$ per month.

So the thing to do is spend sterling. Beg, borrow or steal and buy sites that are being sold in USD. :) Or otherwise spend pounds in the US. I do, I buy sites but also lots and lots of links. At the stunning buying power at the mo I can't get rid of pounds fast enough :)

These references to how many dollars turns into how many pounds is somewhat irrelavent. The buying power is what matters. I once had 5000 Italian lire in my pocket and was cashless after buying a piece of pizza and a coke.

There was a survey done measuring how many minutes you had to work to earn a Big Mac in your country. I have to work about 3 minutes (actually 5 to figure out after tax dollars) to earn a Big Mac here in southern California, USA. We might have something more relevant if we had a Big Mac survey.

If you haven't looked at www.salarymap.com, check it out for actual salaries from around the world. Well actually, it's mostly the US and some from India but feel free to add your data. :)

This pool lacks two numbers: $3000 and $4000.

Here in Switzerland its around $3000 per month.
