    Bounce rate is a deceiving figure.

    Check bounce rates for sites that have a welcome >> PROCEED TO SITE << page. Even if garbage, these sites could have a very low bounce rate, whereas quality sites that provide high-density, centralized information might have a higher bounce rate.

    Also, forums might have lower bounce rates for obvious reasons.

    In real terms it's impossible to restore it back to 0%. First month after creating my website my bounce rate was 96%.
    I added some useful content to my website and now it's around 46%.

    REMEMBER: Usefulness of the content will help to reduce your bounce rate.

    @luffynuon,

    According to my observation bounce rate of any website increase when audience start getting boared of the content. Try to add useful content to your website!

    Hope it helps!

    Under 50 is good, 40-30 is a great place to be.

    Hi,

    My website's bounce rate varies between 20-30%. I could not minimize more.. I guess this can be accepted.

    It is quite subjective question..you can not just define the average bounce rate. It solely depends upon the nature of your website, your website content, navigation, services etc. For example, a Forum does have quite lower bounce rate as the visitor come to visit the forum generally roams around to get more infor. On the other hand, a blog has higher bounce rate as most of the visitors land on the blog post, read the post and leave it.
