    Hi All

I'm being told to submit articles for my business but the problem is, I don't know exactly why? I get it regarding the backlinks.....between 2 and 5 per article but is that all? Does anyone read these articles, seriously? Its just marketing bullsh*t half the time and coming up with fresh bull is hard work!

I market almost exclusively using articles and the benefits are more than just backlinks. If you post on a site such as ezine and you write an interesting article, people will click on your links and visit your site.

I write no less than 11 articles daily and post 5 a day to ezine and the others to various web 2.0 sites.

Yes, but my business is based solely in the uk and clicking through to my site is no good if the end user is in the US, for instance. I'm selling products that are for UK shipping only.

Perhaps there are sites that are UK specific. I wouldn't write for ezine if I had something that was country specific. That would almost surely be a waste of time.

I do get some hits from the UK via ezine but the numbers are insignificant.

Main benefit of article marketing is getting better SERP results, and thus getting targeted traffic. In some cases it might take lot of time.

If you wanna target some country you may wanna take a look at how to rank geographically.

Its all about the traffic and the backlinks, articles are the most effective and easy way to gain them both at the same time IMO

If you're able to provide useful stuff with keyword optimization, your new site can be accessed from Page-1 of the Google search page. Damn sure- ezinearticles will do this for you...

Ezine actually gets quite a bit of traffic and targetted traffic at that ... so yes people do read the articles. Whenever I submit the articles I see a little bump in traffic.

Submitting articles not only helps build backlinks but also brings in traffic to your site. If you are targeting a specific region/users lookout for local directories or sites where your targetted users hangout.

There are international article sites that might fit your needs. Also there are many UK based article directories. Do a search on Google and your going to find several. If you find that most of your visitors are from US, then maybe introduce international shipping.

It's worth it. The backlink from a high PR site is a bonus as well.
And it will give you traffic where you might not have gotten before.

Test it out. (Just a rule of thumb - If you want approval on articles quickly post 10) Article on EZ are taking an avg. of 10 days to get approval.

yes some people DO read the articles. That's why it's so important to have GOOD articles not just a bunch of crap for backlinks. Backlinks are of course important but if you have a really great useful article you can't beat that!

I know I've personally gotten lots of information from articles other people have written.
