Just wondering looking at there health section, there are very few sites in it and most of them are .gov and .org. what is there acceptance ratio of websites ? I mean after paying $80, you atleast want to make sure the site gets accepted. (I have a very good site with hundreds of unique pages but still concern about submitting it to botw.org now)! Anyone knows more about it ?
We accept 100% of the sites that meet our guidelines If that's the case you shouldn't have any problems.
Oh I just love you directory guys. You just ooze hypocrisy. From the submit page in the directory in anon's sig....
Oh I just love you 'too quick to post' guys. if the thread was maybe 15+ posts I would understand, however it's only 4-5 posts. Now... On the directory you noted above, at least it is (keyword here) clearly stated. Now, brightboy, goto stpt and tell me where it states it clearly and up front. No, they try to hide things behind fancy wording. It's not even really clearly stated to be honest? See the difference? if not, re-read.
oh and before you decide to go on a rampage with your further posting: a couple of examples of sites removed that I am referring to were: ewebpages.org avivadirectory.com alivedirectory.com Now in order for me to remove a listing by my standards, it would have to go something along the lines of porn or mfa, and I've yet to remove a listing due to this fact.
yeah, they now do not now accept directories, from their standard, there is no difference with porn sites.
Hmm, I am glad you brought this issue up. Seems like any directory owner who wishes to maintain a quality site would have to delete functioning sites from time to time. Will be adding this to my TOS. I had a cake-decorating site become strangely transformed into a porno site. Strange domain name for the switch - lol. I rationalized to myself that it should be deleted it because "it did not fit in the category in which it was submitted/appeared." (Didn't bother emailing the new owner.) Probably much smarter to spell it out explicitly that such sites will be deleted. I suspect however, Anon was referring to the other site removing listings for less concrete/legitimate reasons? A general directory no longer accepting other directories? Something really not cool about that one.
http://www.avivadirectory.com/ is listed. I suspect the other two have been removed to prevent an infection with Directory Spongiform Encephalopathy before it started hurting their PR/SE rankings.
nebuchadrezzar, your researching skills seem to be just as bad as your attitude; half-cocked, because: 1. you're trying to find something that was removed 2. you're not looking in the right location About the only thing I can offer you at this point is the fact that a website can in fact be in multiple categories in the same site. Now, if you never knew where they existed, you'll obviously never know where they were deleted from. Just so you know, I'm not mad at you or anything like that. It's just that you definitely came into this thread with the wrong attitude. Rob.
I have no intention of getting into a pissing match with you but lets be clear on two points 1) You were panning a directory for doing EXACTLY what your site says it does. 2)You listed 3 directories which you said had been removed when one is still clearly listed in the directories category. Do not for one second think you can paint me as some sort of crank because you make hypocritical/misleading posts. If you do want the embarrassment of people pointing out you are wrong, perhaps you should get your facts right from the begining.
