Off-Page SEO: This refers to what can be done outside of a website to maximize its performance for specific keywords/phrases by acquiring backlinks. I think it all goes to forum and blog sites.

article submission still works. Guest posting is great but one of the harder ways to get a backlink as some webmasters just don't respond for some reason.

Social bookmarking is good for SEO purposes as well.

I seldom submit to directories after I get my site up and running. I usually submit to directories only during the beginning/early phase of my blog. I believe it does get help your site get indexed faster.

I only do dofollow/commentluv blog comments. I used to comment more, now less. I think it's pretty effective assuming you do it large scale but without typing the same generic comments.

In fact, I think if you were to keep to 3-5 methods of backlinking for mainly SEO (not traffic purposes), you will succeed if you were to do it on a LARGE scale legitimately. For eg. you may have 10 articles, 10 directory submissions, 10 comments, 10 guest posts. If you are still not seeing results, up it 10 times more! Many times more! That way if you still don't see improvement in SEO, it only means two things.

Google changed its algorithm by so much and are being a b*tch OR you're posting on low quality sites.

According to me, only thinking about off-site.. it's not too well. whereas u think about on-site and off-site...
Yes doing an guest blogging, it's a right strategy. but i can't say it's a expert strategy...

 

Article submission, Directory submission, Social networking, Forum posting, Social bookmarking, Video promotion, Comment posting and Press release.

 

I don't personally assume that directory submission is simply spam, however if you are doing not do it in the approach it's spam. If you post links to high PR websites and with do follow links and during a natural way it's not just spam.

 

I would vote for social media, creating facebook fan pages, updating unique content on it, be active and interact with different people on facebook, twitter, stumbleupon and google+

 

In 2013 SEO strategy, we need to more focus to Social media activities like,Video Promotion, Photo Sharing,Business Reviews,Answer Questions.

 

You can do Social bookmarking, Article submission, Social networking, Blog comments, keep Don't do spam keep natural work.

 

According to my experience and industry's trend content marketing and infogrpahics are the best off page seo strategy for 2013.

 

don't make too many links pointing to your money site.

Remember to use tiered link building with only quality links pointing to your MS.

Your own private networks work the best and have been for a long time.
