What is Telemarketing and How to do it in USA?

    bushib- Telemarketing involves buying lists of clients based on demographics (age, business category, business size, etc) and hiring operators to call everyone on the list and try to do a sales push for a service or product you're offering. You might want to look into the US's telemarketing laws. I'm not sure how it held up, but there was a "do not call" service that residents signed up to, where telemarketers could be reported for violations and get heavy fines for it. In general, telemarketing angers the majority of people and I'm surprised it still exists.

    telemarketing is part of BPO (business process outsourcing)

    and india earns 64 billion dollar a year from it..

    Almost all big business in usa outsource their work to india

    india have 10 seater 20 seater 50 seater and upto 500 seater telemarketers company

    they deal with inbound outbound campaigns (process)


    the business is simple

    u need leads (first name last name address phone number of ur prospect collected from b2c b2b sites)

    u need a process(known as project) to do outbound telemarketing or inbound phone support job
    (mostly pharma morgagde bad debt survey travel appoinment setting etc projects which pays some commission on sales )
    ================

    for hardware part

    u need 10 computer 1 server iplc bandwidth switch and headphones all network properly setup

    for software part

    u need predictive dialer ( a software to make calls and manage calls even record calls)

    u need voip calling mins (to make calls to usa canada uk aus)

    thats it.. ur own call center

    its like childs play..

    but making sales or closing sales on phone is a tough job.. so telemarkters are in high demand

    If you are going to telemarket in the US you'd better get the "Do Not Call" directory. The fine is very big for any one violating the rules on the "Do Not Call" list. A number of mortgage companies were fined in the 100's of 1,000's for making calls to that list.
