What Is Stopping Really Evil Sites?

Lets suppose you make a children's site about Barney the Dinosaur. You rank #1 for the keyword "barney the dinosaur". Lets say the content on the site is highly relevant to the children's show that aired during the 90s.

Now lets say you, as an evil person, decide one day to change all the content on the site. The Title tag becomes "Barney The Dinosaur Porn Chicks" and the page is filled with photos of adult material.

What would Google do about this? What is stopping a child from running into a site like this on the same day it changes?

My guess would be that the site would be reported, as there is a function for that nowadays. The real question here is HOW LONG before the complaints from users come in and Google gets sued?

There are filters and what not. Believe me this type of thing would get caught extremely fast.

Unfortunately it will take time for Google's algorithm to ditch the cached pages for your search terms within the SERPS. Even though you changed the content to inappropriate material doesn't mean it will be de-indexed any faster than a normal site that changed its content.

I'm guessing with google personalisation they'll match previous queries for childrens entertainment with the current request and know that you don't want hard core porn this time.

I don't think Google has trouble stopping evil sites. They have very advanced filtering of low quality content.
