Squidoo have amazon and ebay modules as well as others, anything bought through those mods - comissions are shared. You can also add in your own affiliate links which squidoo takes nothing from.
Squidoo has modules for amazon but I don't see how people can add amazon affiliate links in as amazon links are iframe based and Squidoo doesn't allow any iframe.
There's a tool that does let you embed Amazon Associate links in to your lens: > www.squidoo.com/amazon-links
Man seriously i think its a fair comission, look at things from this prespective: You're using an extremely well known website, for free, with very good tools, you don't have any hassle with hosting, you get huge amounts of traffic from they're system. I think 50% it's only a fair trade, if you don't like you can always buy a hosting service and make your own blog
Our company tried to increase our rankings by fiddling with Squidoo Lens, but after six months, we've noticed not much of a difference. It could be only our experience, but we discontinued the squidoo efforts.
Here is a good relevant thread: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1334864 (Who has made the biggest money on Squidoo?)
Squidoo takes 45%.....5% goes to Charity....and you get the other 50%. Bummer is you cannot put in your adsense ID. So who really know what you are truly getting.
