3 levels of mind brain stem, beats heart, most energy, bliss, universal mind. lymbic system, walk, run, react, emotions, animal mind, Neo Cortex, Ego Mind, Thoughts, Sense of Separation from the universe, least energy (we can only power 10% of it). http://www.crystalinks.com/brain.html
Nice to see you have the answers to everything. Do you really believe you can explain the essence of human beings so simply?
All of our explanations, scientific or not, are very simple compared to the complexity of human emotions.
The Complexity of human emotions can be compared to a painting, each emotion has a corresponding frequency, each colour has a similar frequency with regards to light. each persons emotions is a unique painting which can be very complex but is made from various shades of these colours, each painting merges and interacts with other people, the purest form of the divine is white, which is not an absence of colour but an inclusion of all possible colours. I think this is a simple analogy but still allows us an infinite scope for beauty and expression.
Love You ask a big question, I will try to do it justice. Love is the start of a feeling of oneness, a realisation that you and everything around you is part of you. when you love someone you realise that deep in your heart you are the same person, the same energy flows through you and the universe, love is a higher level of energy, a purer frequency, approacing pure light and infinity, the more you love the more you are one with the universe and with god. God is the highest form of Light Love and energy, a state of pure bliss and Joy, Oneness and infinity. Love is the way. Namaste (The light in me sees the light in you)
The soul is nothing more than the mind, which is entirely a function of the physical brain. The beating heart, pumping oxygen and glucose through the brain, is what creates mind. When the heart stops, the mind stops.
Only when your brain stops functioning , Mind stops, http://www-hsc.usc.edu/~mbernste/ethics.braindeath.html
Unfortunately, scientist have discovered that love is just a chemical process. Otherwise, your explanation more satisfying. If we have any soul, I believe it's not something that we can connect to with tools from this universe. A one-way connection is established from the soul to an object in this universe etc.
Do you know what happens when people go to Coma ? There are many people like Sharon Stone , Elvis Presley who were declared dead by doctors, but they came back after death and said that they have meet their dead friends. What if I say universe is an embroidary of multi dimensional strings of divine vibrations ? You readily reject it But when somebody writes a hundred paper thesis and say we have theory of everything , Latest version of string theory you think this might be true. At the begining of the universe some one embroids these strings of divine vibration (The Creator) , and the end some one unembroid these strings (The Destructor) What If I say Aliens have buit the Pyramid, you readily rejects it . but when they come back and run after your ass , you believe it If you happen to live for 25 more years, you will see how current science (medical, physical, chemical) theory gets thrown to dustbin
True, I just skipped that step because it is assumed that if the heart stops, the brain dies under normal circumstances.
I cannot completely define what a soul is. But I believe it has something to do with laughter. I have had a good life overall, but there have been a few dark times. During these dark times, when I have struggled to retain some sense of humor I get the distinct impression of my soul slipping away. As if I need to find some way to laugh or find delight in something or I could die. If I lost the ability to laugh completely, I think I would have lost my soul. Not sure if that will make any sense to anyone but me
Yes, I think that is probably the best definition of a soul. It is very hard to describe a soul in words but much easier to feel. I think without laughter or delight we become like machines or inanimate objects. Our laughter and delight in the world is what makes us special.
