Social bookmarking is, or going to be, a dead seo tactic. Far too easy to game the system, but the time invested isn't necessarily without merit. The people involved with social bookmarking sites are, generally by nature, geeks. Your site needs to cater to our pocket-protector friends on THEIR level in order to be worth anything. Common sites that have potential for conversions - Ring Tones Computer Related Sites Software related sites Other social media sites Music sites Dating? (how about a how-to, ahahahaha) Sites that probably won't do you a darn bit of good - Directories Outdoor/Sports related sites (go figure) Business (finance, management, etc) Medical Reference Certainly someone could find examples that contradict those statements, but keep in mind that you need to offer something that the local mentality can digest/accept, readily.
