Smart pricing is when someone finds keywords or terms that they pay very little for to advertise on your site. They pay a few cents at best per click and send people to thier site with ads or products you have.

People do this to get cheap clicks to thier site.

NO!! Smart-pricing is when the people who click on your site don't convert to sales for the advertiser. If that percentage is too high, then Google reduces the amount that you get per click and refunds that to the advertiser. It has NOTHING to do with what words the advertiser chooses.

    exactly:

Smart Pricing is google's way of distributing money via adsense when they feel it's a more valid click that will result in a sale or action from the advertiser

Okay we have had this debate before. But please explain to me, how the same site of myn got one 30 cent click today, and the next 4 clicks totalled 5 cents.

Thats smart pricing? And those figures show it has nothind to do with traffic conversion. I hope you can see that. If not, then explain my earnings then.

That was a great definition of SmartPricing, one Google stock analysts will become aware of post-Q4.

    1) you, as the publisher, don't have a clue whether or not those clicks converted for the advertiser.

    2) you, as the publisher, don't know enough about where or how the clicks were generated to be guessing why they paid what they did.

we are 100% at the mercy of google in all this.
