Just bought a dropped PR2 .org with respectable links. It's in DMOZ. The site is cached in Google. The name is hyphenated. I'd like a general idea of what it's worth.
Good find! I've been looking for site listed in DMOZ for a while and never found one yet. Sorry not sure on what it's worth but I know it will also depend on traffic.
You will be lucky to get the registration price back if the domain is good. A dropped domain with a dmoz history is not worth anything now as DMOZ now automatically removes inactive or dropping domains. If your domain appears in search here http://www.dmoz.org/search/?q=yourdomain.com it doesn't mean that it has a dmoz backlink. Your domain must appear on the category page to have the backlink benefits.
It's still listed on the category page. DMOZ doesn't catch every dropped domain. And I certainly wouldn't list the name in this forum.
DMOZ is not something that really defines the value of a website or domain - it is a lot more than that. A DMOZ link is simply a really nice backlink to your site. But, as stated earlier, it will eventually be removed from the index if the site drops.
