Hi i am newbie and i have read many articles about SEO, but I never found any articles about "what is SEO" and how to do that? Also what is backlinks and how to do that? Can someone help me?

seo is search engine optimization. It is optimizing your website so that it may rank high in the search engines to get you some free traffic. There is a ton of material on seo and many tips and tricks. Too many to name. Different search engines have different ways of ranking the top sites. When you are referring to backlinks. That is how many websites link back to your site. This is said to be a factor in high rankings. The more sites you have linking back to your site the better. Then you are going to hear about link popularity which is having many backlinks. This is a general answer but when it come to seo, you have a huge discussion to many peoples opinions.

backlinks are three types one way link reciprocal links and three way link.

 

SEO is basicly two things:
- making your website accessible to search engines (coding, metatags etc)
- getting the right links to your site (also called backlinks) so your site will rank highly in the serps.

Getting more quality backlinks can help you improved your ranking. Getting more backlinks using your targeted keywords is a part of off-page optimization.
