I think it must be related to reputation management of brand on serp and social media that wud be call as Search Engine Reputation Management.
reputation management is what it is called, a process of managing your reputation online. if you have some kind of brand recognition or want to know every time someone posts something about you on the web, you can use reputation management tool to be alerted. you can then visit that site to see if that requires your attention. for example, you sell an ebook and someone makes a comment about your ebook or starts reselling without your permission, you can attend those pages and take action. there are many other uses of reputation management but you get the picture. there are some tools you can use for reputation management and sad thing is, there is no good tool out there that is free. if interested, google "reputation management tool" and you will find some. you can also use google alert that works somehow but you just get some irrelevant alerts from time to time. google alert still works to some extent and lot of people use it for reputation management.
