RSS (or "Really Simple Syndication") is an XML language used for syndicating content on a Web site to computer applications and Web scripts called RSS aggregators. They're often used by blogs and other content heavy Web sites such as news services to spread the word and offer their users an alternate means of reading their content. You can learn how to use RSS feeds by reading this book: http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/deveoprssatom/ (It's what I used - ok, I used its predecessor book, which is now out of print, but this one's better.)
