What is RSS FEED and how it is helpful?

    I want to know about RSS feed ....what is RSS feed and how it can be useful for my site ?

    is there any tool to make RSS file and where to submit them ?

    RSS is a Real Simple Syndication and it is used to share your website information with other websites. We have to create an XML file and keep it in your site. Just check out these links:

    After creating the RSS feeds and you have to share them to RSS directories to get traffic to your site.

    Compatible with phones. Mobiles have RSS Feed on there.

    RSS is a standard format for syndicating content on the Internet. The content can be anything! Often information contained in an RSS feed is syndicated on other sites which expands its reach.

    Website visitors love RSS because they choose which feeds they wish to subscribe to, if at any point they are unhapy with the content contained in the RSS feed they simply unsubscribe and no longer receive notification of feed updates.

    RSS is really a win, win for both subscribers and publishers.

    In order to get a better understanding of how RSS works download an RSS reader or use a web aggregator and subscribe to an RSS feed (they are usually indicated by a small orange icon).

    As far as creating RSS Feeds and submitting there are applications available. The two I use are: FeedForAll http://www.feedforall.com for creating rss feeds, RSS Submit for feed submissions http://www.dummysoftware.com/rsssubmit.html

    You can generate traffic from submitting your RSS feeds to directories. Internet users can also subscribe to those feeds. Sometimes, you can also get some backinks from rss submission.

    RSS standards for Real Simple Syndication.Its act as a a promotional/visibility tool improving your site’s visibility, generating more traffic, and enhancing the search engine ranking. It also helps getting your content published on other sites. This again means new visitors to your site, which in turn gives your site new subscribers and end of the day new customers too
