Be very careful here! If this is a large well known company it may be fine.

Just keep in mind that anyone who has your routing number and account number can take money out as well as put it in. Many of the scams on the net right now involve such activities.

The routing number is the nine digit number that appears to the left of your account number at the bottom of your check. No checks you will have to ask your bank.

    Hi Vijay,

In India we do not have routing numbers, you client must be from USA, In USA routing no is 9 digit number mentioned on their check leaves but in your case, you need to make him under stand that he need to sort cord and branch details along with your account information and he can pay you via wire transfer.

Be careful if its large sum.
Sort code you can ask from your bank and you can tell them that u r expecting a wire and u need to know the details and they will let you know.
