Hello, I'm selling products here and many of them ask for review copy and i don't know what is review copy and how can i get this.
A review copy is a free copy or much cheaper price products/services compare to the real price that is given to other members in exchange for their feedback. The members who had received the review copy will then post the good and the bad of your products/services on your threads. Review copy is usually given to high post/high reputed members by the seller. It is not compulsory to give a review copy. But it do help with your business onward. - Dynashox -
If you're selling product(s) then you need to give away a review copy - either at discounted price or for free. In return, the person will post his/her feedback regarding your product. This will probably help you in making sales.
Kiran, I see you started a thread offering web hosting, and someone asked you for a "review copy". What that means is that they want to try your hosting for free or at a reduced cost, and then they would write a review about it in your thread. I see you responded "No review copy at this moment". That's probably how I would respond, because if they want hosting they can pay for it. Everytime someone put something to sell on DP, everyone is asking for a review copy, because they want to get it for free. I would only offer a review copy if I was selling something like an ebook, and then just provide one to the first 2-3 people to get reviews.
As there are many service provider in DP so by providing review copy to some reputed you can get some reviews about product which will be visible to other potential buyers. If you manage to get +ve review you will definitely get some clients.
Review copy is basically a FREE copy of what ever product someone is advertising only for a certain amount or ONE person to just check out and post a review for customers to check and BUY...
