tomorrow .mobi domains will be free to register for everyone while this names were free for some particular organizations , now I want to know what is reality of this extention? can we register them in orther to park them and monetize them?or activation of domains with this extention needs some particular communication instruments? can GSM phones only access to this extention via wireless connections?( just like syniverse.mobi) or you can load them by your PC via ordinary connections( dial up,adsl, dsl)?

i don't see the point to a .mobi domain; with a server side check, can't you tell its a mobile phone and serve up special pages for them, if you wanted to?

Mobi? Sounds really bad, .pro is way better. They are'nt worth now, but after year or two the best one's will be valuable.

On my tiny mobile phone keypad, I rather be typing as little as possible, having to type a 4 character TLD is a no no for me.

So does that mean you can't buy a .mobi and resell it?

They might set the browser to default .mobi. You don't have to type it.

Free Stuff has a good point there, maybe thats the reason .mobi was made, there might be an option in newer mobile phones where the person can set .mobi as the default extension of opening websites.
